Haven't been able to hunt for them in a couple years (not that I was ever good @ finding them anyway)

So where's the recommended spots to look for them IE downed trees, boggy spots ect.

I see you have them soaking them in water. What is the purpose in that?

Nice score. We finally got our first heavy rain tonight of the spring. Hope over the next few days I can forage up a bucket full. This rain should make my shiitake logs start to have their first flush of the year as well.

old elms , boggy spots , under pine trees , along wooded creeks .

got em in salt water to flush out any bugs , then i'll rinse them , let them soak in milk over night , bread them pan fry and you know the rest of the story !

Looking for morels? Just come to the Okanogan county......

Wildfires=Mushrooms..............

Buyers are set up in many locations right now all over the county. Have been set up for about 2 weeks, think there's another 2-4 weeks of the local season. Heard they are shipping out NDD (Next Day Delivery) out of regional airports.

-Side Note- About 5 years ago another wild fire went through another patch of the county. We heard that mushroom processors set up temporary buildings with generator power to process the 'shrooms that were coming in.
