chinense Bengal Naga Peach vs. Bhut Jolokia Peach

I grew Bhut jolokia Peach last year and this year I´m growing Bengal Naga Peach.

From plant size and habitus (small, early branched and typical Bhut leaves) to fruit and fruit setting incl. heat and as far as I remeber the taste, I can´t see any difference.

Is there any difference and if, what´s the difference?
And...who invented the name Bengal Naga Peach??

Thanks in advance for any contribution.

I didn´t get the seeds from Buckeye, but they offer as Bengal Naga Peach.
The description is a exact copy of the Bengle Naga description from seaspring, but as we know, this is red.
Bengal a typo? and should be Bengle Naga Peach ??

Hope that Mike has some time to comment.

The bhut is for sure not the same. The Bengal naga we tried to get from sea spring but there was an issue with them not sending the product (I won't get into that) so we ended up getting from john ford. While some are peach we also had a red pheno come out. Honestly I was never all that impressed. I would by far recommend the peach bhut. Very good taste, large heat and massive producer.

Peach bhut and jays peach are different.. Jays (jays peach ghost scorpion) has scorpion crossed in it

I can confirm this.

JPGSc is longer, has a rougher surface, a tail and much more heat than the Peach Bhut.

Peach Bhut has wrinkled NAGA/Bhut seeds where JPGSc has the typical Scorpion seeds = larger, flat and darker in color.

Here are 4 peaches-the Gnarlies are JPBS, The others are PL's, and 2 I don't recall right off-one of which is a Peach Naga-they weren't as yellow as the pic showed....
Jay Peach Bhut Scorps take the prize overall IMHO. Definitively hotter then the others- of the ones I've grown.

Bengal, Bengle- used intermittently, probably no true significance(Bengal might more "correct"-who knows).
Just my 2 cents...
