chinense OBEAH F1 - Reaper x MoA Scotch Bonnet

Pleased with the shape definitely more Bonnet than Reaper this season however, that may be due to the weather we had a good May/June which set the flowers but it's been hit and miss since then ... and this may have stopped a tail developing

Still a mean looking pod .......

Pods have now fully matured so I thought it was time to update the thread ... these are my three biggest pods which are a lot smaller than last season however, they are more bonnet shape this season probably dictated by the weather

If anyone is in touch with KD I would be interested if he had any pods

These are much more deep red then the pic is letting on to. I'll have some seeds to share eventually if anyone wants to hit me up

Great looking pods .. very similar to mine last season although your tails would take some beating. Weather and conditions (heat and humidity) must certainly affect this variety as this season mine have kept to the bonnet pheno although the tail is still evident... will you grow again next season

Thanks John, I think I have to just to see where it goes. Need to ressurect my scotch reaper for next year too which was just regular scotch yellow kissed by a reaper

Weather here has actually been cool and dry all year. Which hasn't helped my grow overall

Those look really nice! Did you isolate the seeds? If so I would be interested in growing some of those...
Thanks! No to the iso but my grow has been pretty weak this year, another month of grow time sure would help... But not many plants would have had a great opportunity to accidentally cross

You'll get some seeds from this pod... Who knows if the shape will show up next year tho. Here's ta hopin

This is my third year growing this pheno and I can't get it to stabilize for the life of me.  I've got two plants growing outside, and I've got two, growing inside, in my grow tent.

All four all showing very similar color and shape, but each year they differ.  Nevertheless, I love the flavor and heat of this variant.  This one and the MOA SB are my top two for daily use.

When the sun comes up, I'll snap some pics of the different shape pods that are still ripening.

Absolutely amazing photography of all those pods ... I received a message from Justin White (whitehotpeppers) I sent him some Obeah seed Late last year I know he is a very busy man but I have asked him to post a photograph on this thread .... now they are truly as Mike would say "Sick" best described as a red hand grenade with rhino horns ... personally I have never seen spikes like it

John you may appreciate that pods I've been posting, came from a plant Justin mailed to me this spring, grown from seeds he got from you. My original obeah seeds I got a couple years back have been displaced for a variety of reasons... So glad I've got them back in the fold. I plan on ow my plant in case the next generation doesn't show the same characteristics. I'm more than happy to try and send you a Christmas card if you want.
