recipe Jalapeño Chicken Popper Taquito Recipe with a Kick

This is a family favorite over here, very tasty and mild. However I like to give it a kick with Habanero flakes and powder. I'll post the recipe that I modified from one I found online. Here's a pic of the crockpot loaded up and ready to cook!

The recipe is as follows:

1 cup water
7 chicken breasts, frozen or thawed
16 ounces cream cheese
1 cup jalapeños chopped
2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon pepper flakes
1 teaspoon pepper powder
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
30 taco-sized tortillas
3 cups shredded cheese
Vegetable Oil

Add all ingredients except shredded cheese and tortillas to crock pot and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours. Pull chicken up into thin consistency, lay tortillas out and sprinkle cheese on followed by chicken filling, roll, rub with oil, place on baking sheet. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes or less if you want it less crunchy. Serve with ranch, and boom! DELICIOUSNESS!

Fresh out of the oven pic, also, have enough left over for a couple more batches. Makes great quick lunches and snacks for leftovers, just do the same baking instructions and in ~20 min you have delicious quick food.

Thanx!  And I just made hab powder like a week ago with last years dried habs,  Perfect!  Will make this my next day off since I work through dinner hours.  Certainly looks better than hospital cafeteria food.

LOL, but don't you have those "fresh" salads?

Finally got around to making these today.  Truly spectacular and addicting.  Just made a half a batch which was more than enough.  Thank you!

Oh and to appease my husband, I omitted the habaneros and added just 3 lemon drops on top of the jalapenos to a half a batch.  Wonder if even that was too hot for him.  LOL....
