SnottyFox's First Ever Glog 2015 (CT)

Hello Everyone!
I'm finally getting around to posting my first ever Glog and I'm pretty excited about it  .  As this was my first year growing, I decided to try my hand at growing one to a few different varieties of peppers and then seeing which ones I like so that I can grow more of that kind the following year (as well as throwing in some new varieties I haven’t tried).

The majority of my plants were grown using pepperlover.com seeds.  The service was amazing and I would absolutely recommend anyone to use their seeds for your grow.  They will be who I use next year.  I originally had purchased some from pepperjoes but the only pepper really to sprout was the purple jalapeños.  However, they are much further along than my other plants.

Ok, let's get started!

My setup/supplies:
Apollo 600w HPS light
Pro mix HP
Neptunes harvest
3 inch planters
7 gallon planters
Ipower 4 ft T5 light
Hydrofarm windowsill heat mat

My grow started in mid-end February, I started with the damp paper towel in the plastic bag on a heater method.
Once the seeds started germinating I moved them into a seed tray under the ipower system with the hydrofarm heat mat under them.
After a week or two I moved as many as I could into 3 inch pots filled with promix HP and rigged the Apollo HPS light to the ipower frame (fit perfectly).

They stayed in this set up throughout the remaining winter and somewhat spring (it was cold this year).
The plants were given a dilution of neptunes harvest fish emulsion once a week (tsp/gallon).

Once it was time to get them out I simply took them from their 3 inch pots and put them in the containers they are in now (mostly 5-7 gallon).  I was anticipating losing a number of the plants while they were sprouts but I managed not to lose a single one.  I kept as many as I could and donated the rest to any aspiring pepper growers.

I increased the fish emulsion to 1/4 cup in two gallons and feed them about every 3-4 days.

Purple Jalapeño

Just an FYI as this was my first grow I did not top or prune any of the plants, I decided to let nature take its course as I was convinced I would do more harm than good, ha.  I want to also say thank you to everyone who posts in these threads, I wouldn't have been able to do this grow without the knowledge I gained reading through other glogs.  If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it or any suggestions to new varieties I should try next year.

Happy Harvesting!

Oh, Maddux says hi too!

Welcome, and looks like you are off to a nice start.  Good luck with your season.  Hope your purple jalapenos are better than mine.  I had one, not quite ripe yet, but had 0 heat that I could detect.  Won't grow them again if they don't have at least a few scovilles.

Nice looking grow! I'm growing a few of the same; Starfish (not the orange), BBG 7 and Cumra Cherry. Your plants and pods are looking great.

Well it's been a long summer/fall/winter. I have been meaning to catch up on my glog and have just had no time! I know... Inexcusable.
Anyway, I am starting to plan for my 2016 grow and wanted to make sure I tied off 2015.
So here are a few pictures from this years catch!
