Soft spot on pepper

Hi guys,

I noticed today a soft spot on one of my unripe fresno pepper. I have yet to have a single ripe pepper, but I have about 20 pods around the same size, on three different plants. This pod is the first one I notice with a soft spot, just wondering what it is.

Here are pics of said pepper:

You can see the soft spot near the tip of the pepper.
So yeah, as it is my only pepper that has that, I'm not too worried, but just wanted to know what it was, and if I should throw the pod away.

Thanks for your help! ;)

I think tomorrow I'll just remove it from the plant and dissect it to learn more. Maybe I'll be able to save some of the pepper.
I'll post pictures.

Ok so I went ahead and dissected it, here's what it looks like:

(Note that this is all the same pepper)

It was vey liquidy, almost gooey like, but didn't smell anything other than fresh pepper. I ate the rest of the pepper and it was delicious (as expected), so it's really that soft gooey spot that was turning bad.
I also noticed the spot got larger than yesterday, so maybe if I had left the pod on the plant it would've got into the whole thing.

Anybody ever got that, or know what it is? It is simply blossom end rot?
