This is growing in my front yard and has gotten close to 12 feet tall, It has lots of grape like fruit, Was wondering what it is and if those berries were edible.

It looks like a rhododendron but the fruit means it isn't. 
 
Is it wild or was it planted there? If it was planet, it's probably what Heckle said, if it's wild, then it probably isn't.

It was planted before we bought the house 15 years ago , Damn hardy plant  just hate seeing all that non edible fruit! I think Heckle was spot on.
 
Don't eat them!! Schefolera - don't trust my spelling. It's a giant weed. It will overtake your entire yard if you don't cut it back. You can cut it down to a stump and it will regenerate.
