Crab Pie--Would Green Chiles be good in this?

That sounds pretty good. I'd like to try it with dungeness crab (local crab) and red peppers though.

Must agree on the red pepper call. There are very few peppers I will eat unripened.

roasted New Mexico chiles go with anything! Go for it!

If it is fresh crab just make sure not to over power it with heat or any other ingredient.

I made the pie and it is very good. The amount of crab could be cut back, because it was very rich. I increased the amount of onion and pepper (and I did use roasted green Big Jim chillies). Next time I'll cut back on crab and increase both onion and green chillies. A slice of pie and a green salad made a mighty fine lunch (and the prosecco didn't hurt anything!).
