So I have many ghost peppers I pulled off the plant for seeds. When they were on the plant they looked completely red but after holding them up in the sunlight they appear to be orange. Now this is a darker orange than on other peppers where there is still green along the bottom. Does a Ghost pepper ever turn completely red? Will these seeds be viable? Or am I just color blind?

Yes they do turn a total ripe color and if they are mainly that ripe color they should produce viable seeds. I sun dry mine and have picked almost total ripe peppers to dry for seeds. Best to wait for total ripe but not all that important.
let the pods set on the counter for 3/4 days . they'll finish ripening .
