Building a raft with my fresh pods

I discovered the other day that all my fresh pods float in water. So, I decided I would use all of my fresh pods to build an emergency raft in case of biblical floods or even flash floods or something. Soon I will expand the pepper boat until it can carry five people and 16 pepper plants. When the pepper raft is finished I will put it in the freezer for preservation and safe storage until it is needed. An advantage to this craft is that it can be eaten after I return to shore for needed nutrients.

     I see one obvious problem with your design. If you freeze your raft, it will be all mushy when you thaw it before the flood. Mushy pods will never hold up to 40' surf.

Your constructive criticism helps me build a better pepper raft
 
     Have you ever grown tekne dolmasi or corno di toro peppers? They are really big pods. They're heavy, but I bet they'd displace more water than an equal mass of smaller peppers. Also, tekne dolmasis have really thick flesh, which might make them more durable in case you had to navigate big waves or whitewater.
 
I have always kind of wondered about pirates and parrots.  Seems to me, if their ship sinks the parrot would just fly away.  Ducks, on the other hand, they are natural flotation devices.  Seems like a much better pet for a pirate.  It is also why this here pepper pirate is not worried about the great pepper flood as foretold in the holy book of capsicum.
 
But for those who are, might I suggest more of a pontoon boat, perhaps with giant banana peppers for the pontoons.

      :shocked: Oh shit. This whole time I've been misreading the Book, thinking it foretold of the coming Great Pepper Food! I guess I need to go snuff out the grill and get to work on my floatation device!
