Yellow primos

Think I like these yellow primos , they make a good powder .

Mine are just starting to pop.  Did you grow red and if so, did your yellow lag behind the red or is it just me?

I have yellow primos, red primos and gnarly red primos. All from Duffy. The red primos grew taller and sterted putting out flowers sooner but the yellow has since caught up nicely. All 3 are putting out a healthy number of pods.
I love those primo pods!

Nice pods, I had crappy weather here all season and lost my red primo's along with some reapers and some brown moruga, I really like the flavor of the red ones,  I've not grown any yellow primo peppers yet how is the flavor with those bad babies?

Ya know, you just sold seed for Mr. Duffy.  With a name like 'Gnarly' anything I almost have to buy some.  Had no clue, googled it, found his seeds.  Ye, they are now on my list.  You gotta start getting a commission.

I don't know if its my eyes making my tongue taste more citrus cause it is yellow or if maybe because there is less heat the flavor comes out more.  Not saying you can dip them in blue cheese dressing and chomp down without some discomfort, but the yellows I have grown are noticeably less hot than the reds I have grown.  The yellow also seems more, I am not sure the word, sharp / crisp / clean.  It is like here is the flavor, boom.  Not a building or an after taste thing.

Pretty good summary. I wish i had the paience to post pics here, i'd throw up some pics of the pods the gnarly one has been putting out. Definately the bumpiest pods i've ever grown. I'm about to dry out a few here i'd be happy to send you some seeds from. Just for $hits & giggles.
As to those yellow ones, yes. Good job summing them up. I'm definately able to discern flavors before the burn with a heat that was easily tolerable. I don't know,, admittedly they feel less/diff hot but I also feel like my yellow primos do have a more citrusy taste to them vs the reds. Well, tolerable for somebody that continues to eat fruits with names like brainstrain, devil's tongue, reaper, ghost, borg, etc.
I bought a gnarly primo from him as one of those "what the hell, why not?" Things. My primos and my brainstrain (yellow) are likely my most prolific plants!

I think I might try growing the yellow primo next season, I will have to check with Judy at pepperlovers I need to get some true to type C.Reapers, I have a long time friend in B.C. Canada that wants to grow a few. So I will get them along with some yellow primo peppers, I don't really have anything different to trade other than some wild Pepper seeds. I can buy some Reaper and yellow primo seeds.
Most of what I have now, just about everyone has, I need to look around to see if there is some new varieties being handed around. I wonder if any one is working on a chocolate reaper or a chocolate 7 pod Bubblegum yet, or have gotten their hands on the supposedly Death strain??.

I like wild varieties!  I have true reaper and brown moruga seeds for trade. I can even send fresh pods a little later.  George, send me a pm if you are interested in trading.  looking for flexuosum, tovarii.
