Water in Pods?

I cut up a batch of Aleppo pods, and several had water in them. Not oil, but what appeared to be water. I have done a few batches already from these plants but didn't notice water before now. The pods look perfect with no blemishes.

Has anyone run across this before, and can you tell me what is going on?

Thanks, Tom

The plant stores water in the pod, so the capsaisin fairies can drink after making pods hot. They won't be as hot if the fairies haven't made their last visit, which is when they always drink the rest of the water.

I have experienced this as well with some pods. I guess its normal. Just don't let it drop on your hand as it brings some oil with it ;)

yeah its normal. seems like when you have lots of rain or overwatering it happens.

I notice the pods with water in them are more likely to rot, so watch out.
