Whats trimming my bush?

This has happened over the last few days, 1st thing I looked for is broken or fallen branches on the ground and there's nothing,The last couple of nights I have seen a Moth flying around about the size of a bird REALLY I thought it was a small bird when I first saw it.  Not sure if he's the perp.  Any Idea?

Do deer have access to your plant? It looks like a bigger animal that's getting at it. Though you'd have to think that it would have eaten more than just a few nibbles.

You sure that moth wasn't a locust?

I'm going to keep an eye out for him tonight and catch his butt I've seen him 2 nights in a row.  When I 1st saw it I thought it was a fat humming bird because of how fast its wings where going and It's eyes were big enough to reflect light.

It is probably a hummingbird moth.  They can be kind of freaky looking first time you see them.  I agree with moruga welder & JoynersHotPeppers looks like a tomato horn worm.

Yep, this has been the year of the tomato horn worm for me. I've picked off at least 60, in past years it was usually less than 10.

wouldn't think a moth could eat the bigger part of the stem .  you have tomato worms in your parts ?

Horn worm damage is exactly like that. I have 4 plants that were attacked and I killed all the horn worms.

Not my image or plant but you get the idea...
