Frost and Freeze

First frost came and went, thought it killed everything.  Now I am seeing new green leaves forming.  Not enough time for new pods before the freeze come, but this is frigging amazing.  Never noticed before because usually not out there after things frost over.  I am thinking the ground might have to freeze to actually kill some of the plants.

I always learn something new about growing peppers. They are sometimes hard to kill them. This year some how I did it right.I could not keep any of them to stay alive for me.Too much rain. :mope:  :mope:  :tear:  :tear:

pepperguy, ye they dont like water too much.  Please consider raising your rows or beds, helps the water to go somewhere else.

moruga, I have a few things in pods that are doing fine too.  I think the concrete they are sitting on holds more heat than the ground, that or my house is leaking way too much.

my season was all over the place this year.  I had 50's at night in July, WTF is that about!?!?!  now its a week into Nov and its 70, great pepper weather ...too bad it went down to 30 a month ago

Topsmoke, same here.  Have come to the conclusion it is not global warming it is global weirdening.  I am not sure if global weirdening is man made, but it does seem like we are weirder than other creatures.

Ditto, cleared the beds out this weekend and several of the supers that were otherwise leafless by this point had new growth all along the joints.  Of course I am usually clearing out the beds mid-October around here and not November.  Hell, the two on the patio are still flowering and dropping pods...

Just hoping the steady temped fall luck doesn't run out and leave us with another wild weathered late spring plant out again

SpicyMon, ye I usually plant early and pray.  This past season it did not work out all that great.  Not trying to start a global climate change stink, but things really do seem to be changing.
