Peppers seem to fruit when they want to fruit. Longer days can make them mature faster, but the number of hours of daylight does not seem to trigger fruiting. i am wondering about tomato. I imagine starting them very early in a green house will give them a head start on maturing, but will they still fruit at the same time or earlier?
