Thank you Veterans

My 9 year old son was not sure if I would make it to the celebrations at his school. Much trouble walking lately. His eyes lit up when I gimped in. Thought it was the pizza i brought, but then he started bragging that i was his dad. Felt very good. I think I scared some of his frenemies. Lots of grand parents, not many parents. Found one, talked for a time, she was very nice.
If I read the news right, the United States is now sending our children to loose life and limb in Syria. If ordered, they will go where they are told. Some of them won't come back. Some, like the young lady I met today, will come back missing limbs and sporting purple hearts. If I read the news right, the United States might be decreasing funding to veterans services.
Makes me think the best way I can say thank you to our returning veterans is to pay attention to the politicians and what they say about veterans services. I invite everyone else to do the same.

Just got home from Thanking my old friend who served in vietnam and was lucky to come home . Now i salute and Thank any of you who has served or is now in the service THANK YOU !
