Pregermination so i don't have to deal with empty cells / separating sprouts after they have been planted. They are sitting next to the heater so are nice and warm.

So i went with all 5630 light strips this year. Each set of 4 shelves is hooked to a 240w power supply (4x60w). This will use half the energy of the normal 2x 2x t8 setup and costs much less initially and to maintain... They worked fine in my test growout, we'll see how they work in a full production environment. So i only need 720w of lighting for 48 trays of plants which is pretty good.

the weed guys always preaching about circulating air / air exchange so i got one of these wall mount hurricane fans, moves lots of air! much more than my little tower fan..

so now just waiting 1-2 weeks for germination.

Whoa!  Wait a minute.  How much did you spend on lighting?  I did a search on 5630 light strips and the cost is so very inexpensive...  That seems awesome!!

Great juanitos! All these strips led deliver good light power. I'm curious about the growth under strips led. I'll follow!
I wish you a long and hot season!

yeah 12(shelves)*8$ + 3(shelf units)*18$ = 150$ for 48 trays or 3.13$ per tray

t8 shoplights are 21$ and you put 2 per shelf.
12(shelves) * 21$*2 = 504$ for 48 trays or 10$ per tray

but we don't know how well they will work and how long they will last. Also they do take a bit more work to setup doing some wiring / soldering.

So i guess we'll see if they are worth it! if they are, it could be a huge savings for most people.
