yeah it was fine in april and may when plants were smaller i only watered every 24hrs.
but now with 90-100s and big plants they dry out lots faster.

maybe i'll do 10 mins every 6 hours like at 6,12,6,12 are probably good times.

what i do(or what i read to do) is keep a naked emitter just dangling into a mason jar... and use that as a volumetric measurement of your irrigation events.

all emitters have ratings of x. gph, but they vary, eve the pressure compensatign ones. they all vary to some extent according to water pressures and flow rates.  so by putting the mason jar there to collect a bit of runoff you can get the volume of 1 irrigation event and compare it to the volume of runoff you are getting in your trays or however you collect runoff. then you just adjust the irrigation cycles accordingly, attempting to manage runoff ec and volume.  its all variable obiviously... but you would be suprised how stable it is even with cloudy weather.
when it rains a shit load i would only skip a few cycles because the slabs dont absorbe much rain.  but even when i forget to hit the skip setting it barely makes any diffference.

slabs are real cool. its the best way to grow imho if you have the cash for them.

hm idk, u talking about my weeds?

my father planted onions early and didnt want me to cover a couple spots... and now they are full of weeds... i was using a hoe / harvesting onions the other day and i broke the handle off. was probably 20 yrs old lol.

hammer lol. can confirm.

my first ripe pods last year were july 14th, wonder if i'll be the same.

some gnarly pods

ah well, if you remove them for what ever reason... get one of these to reinstall them.

also idk if i posted this yet, but consider a flordia weave trellis next year.

one post per row, and you literally weave it inbetween the plants a few weeks after transplant.

its meant for tomatos, but id be suprised if it did not work equally as well with toms.

also consider a post in the center as well... using the hooks just to hold the weight of the plants on the trellis, not to work against any tension.  im afraid your trellis as its now set up will sag excessivly months down the line?

its too late to change anything right now... flordia weave needs to be done way early on, but maby consider it next time.

Wow, wicked fast growth in that coco.  Pretty cool setup you have going.  Looks like your fert/watering schedule is on point.  In the small amount I've messed with coco in containers, I learned quickly that the watering schedule was way more frequent but once correct the growth rate was pretty amazing.  Keep it going, and thanks for sharing!

A jungle in the making!

I like the Florida weave, not so much for peppers, as tomato cages work just fine. But for the other crops. And a T-post hammer is must for setting T-posts.

Liking the poddage too!

I found maybe thirty 7' posts & fifteen 5' ones. I used a hammer last year but invested in a $20 driver this year. MUCH easier, straighter, & if we're being honest, I didn't wimp out & drive them in too shallow this year. Set up's looking great.

how much nitrogen in your solution?

annum leaves always get that big im my experiance. chin leaves not so much but ive grown only a few chins.

i was using a bit high n 9-7-37 + the 15-0-0 cano, was premix meant for lettuce/greens.
am switching to 4-18-38 with the same cano, premix meant for tomatoes

i'll say i could see the difference in growth the higher n gave me. i have large leaves and stems as thick as hotdogs. The rows are getting a bit overgrown need to do some trimming so i can actually walk between them.
i probably should have switched a few weeks ago. Some of the plants are mostly veg with only a few buds.
