Couple more Dreadies. Got a nice one for seeds too. Gunna whip up a TFM/Dreadie/Scotch Brain hot sauce today. Probably add a tiny bit of a yellow rocoto too for more sweetness.

On a side note it looks like 1 Dreadie plant is actually a TFM. Every single pod looks exactly like a TFM. Need to check the label i stuck in the pot. It might have been right all along.

My Bonnets are just starting to turn.  I've picked one Dreadie and one WHP so far.  The Dreadie pic is up on my glog.  I'm hopeful my Bonnets start turning in mass.  I've got 20+ plants out.

Many people have eaten food from my kitchen and have gone on to lead normal, healthy lives.

this was my first one. was keeping an eye on it and a bug nipped it right as it was starting to ripen.   I cut that portion off and tried it anyway. lol

it was pretty damn hot and a distinctly more floral smell than the other types im growing.

Everyone has such great looking pods. I got inspired by this thread, I ordered p dreadie seeds from refining fire for my 2020 grow. I'm not sure they are the authentic ones, but best I could do.

Another nice load of Dreadies and for me they are out producing TFMs. I got 3 Dreadies and 4 TFMs. I had 1 Dreadie labeled wrong. Turns out its a TFM.

I recently whipped up one of my favorite sauces, with some fresh picked P. Dreadies from my garden. This stuff is so ridiculously good with chicken/pork/seafood. Trini style pepper sauce, where the scotch bonnets really shine.

My first of two papa dreadies is finally ripening! I haven' had much luck with the scotch bonnets this season. Maybe it's a good thing that I didn't do a bonnet only season like I initially intended to...10dc70d58ea60f3991b265526b560990.jpg

Today I tasted the ripe papa dreadie. Taste was delicious and very different from what I usually expect from a chinense. It was very citrusy and it's actually the first time that I experience a citrus flavour in a chilli.
At first instance there didn't seem to be much heat but that changed after a minute or two! Heat was serious for someone like me who isn't used to this kind of heat, but it's more pleasant than a typical hot annuum.
Now I still have another - larger - dreadie on my plant but that one's still green. I wonder how that one is going to be heat wise

...but I might be wrong...

It's a good thing they don't grow upwards...

My P. Dreadie plants have been healthy all season, but have slightly lower yields than my MOA's.

But they are a bit hotter and very delicious!

My Dreadies are predominately off-pheno, perhaps due to funky rain amounts and zone 3.....

This one has but one lobe, but it spirals like a turd emoji20190904_112237.jpg

I have a couple quarter-sized ripe ones too embarrassing to post.

I'm overwintering this one, hoping for a different result next year....
