Key West

Hit up the Cuban Coffee Queen for a sandwich.  There is(was) a restaurant called Kaya Island Eats on the overseas highway around mile marker 15 or 16 the food there was awesome.  I loved Key West so much I didn't want to come home.
 
Love Key West but don't think it's going to beach weather next week. Staying at Southernost. Drinking is definitely in the plan as well as eating. Right now it is 37 on my balcony in the sun. Must be better there.
 
If you're driving from Miami.... a couple of ideas along the way.

Fun: Snorkeling out of Key Largo....  John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park to be exact. Amazing experience!
 
Well, survived the Florida adventure. Weather was iffy.

Mostly this and staying somewhere with all open air bars was windy!

Did have two lovely dinners. One at Louie's and one at Salute on the beach.

Had another fabulous breakfast at Blue Heaven, lobster eggs Benedict to die for!

Got stuck for 2 extra days which was financially painful. So glad to be home! Missed being snowed in so pretending this weekend. Big pot of borscht in the works. Will post on Sunday dinner.
