hello from Belgium

hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to growing peppers, been keeping a couple of plants (sweet peppers) for a few years,
last year I started with a lot of hungarian species, this year I've gotten 20-30 different species,
planning for a total of 70-80 plants (gonna give a lot of them away to friends and family).

Greetings from South Carolina!

I am interested in knowing what Hungarian varieties you are growing and if you going to make paprika powder with them.

last year I grew the following hungarian varietes (bought them over there):
cseresznyepaprika
Pritaminpaprika - Alexander
szegedi-20
Almapaprika
elefántormány
Ciklon F1

I made paprika powder with the szegedi pepper, a variety known for creating great powder (tastes like crap when eaten raw),
I also (cold) smoked a couple of the same peppers and made some powder from that,
was very pleased with the result.

my favorite was the sweet pritaminpaprika, which looks like a tomato.

the cseresznyepaprika is the only hot variety in the list.
