Out of the various ornamental peppers that are Multi-Colored what are the best flavored ones that are hotter than a Serrano ?

I've only ever grown the Peruvian Purple and the taste is not one I'd recommend.

Surprisingly I'm not big on baccatums so far but something tells me Aji Omnicolor is what you're looking for. Around Serrano heat too I think? Maybe a little hotter but it's all underwhelming to me.

Aji Omnicolor ++ Not a super small plant, but can be limited by planting in a smaller container. Only "ornamental" I have grown that is worth more than just drying and flaking.

I have a few Aji omnicolor seeds I just planted along with the Chinese 5 color and Bolivian rainbow. I will see which one I like the best this year.

I really like omni color. It's one of my go to peppers in the garden. Every time im in there I grabbed one and chomped on it while I did my thing. Really good fresh in pico and guacamole.

They taste better unripe. I like to hit them in the white/purple stage though still good red too.

Centennial Rainbow is one of the better tasting ornamentals I've grown.

In my opinion,most of the ornamentals that go through multiple color changes taste bad during the purple stage.

CGN17000 (Christmas Baby) is another decent tasting ornamental.

I grew "Peito de Moca" last year. It has a stunning look and a good and very "clean" chinense taste. Small plant but very prolific.

The best taste is when its riping from orange to red. It really tastes like candy then (candy with 6,000 socoville

).

I have a 5 foot one that survived outside this winter and is doing great. I re-potted it in some new soil and a larger container.
