Is this worth $300

Looks bare bones.
No real temp. control-+ the pic-dial looks like you gotta guess which # is X degrees.
Probably not air tight,Makes a LOT of difference.
Door is VERY large,IF not air tight,I see NO WAY YOU COULD KEEP A CONSTANT TEMP.
Metal thickness?
Also deals with holding a constant temp.
Example, cast iron pans stay hot a long time,Aluminium gets cold fast.
Thick metal(steal etc. are better than thin stuff.

The better pellet smokers are SET IT and Forget it.
Basically timed and monitored like a regular oven...

Says EASILY CHOOSE TEMP and smoke settings.
I'd guess you have a VERY large learning curve.
Might be cool ONCE you seal up leaks and learn that #3 is either 200 degrees or 100 if the winds blowing or it's warm or cold out.

I won't buy a smoker I can't Touch before I buy it.
I read about the return stuff from other people.
Gonna cost you WAY TOO MUCH to ship it bac-IF you can than you pay for it.
Probably not,BUT you'll pay to get it AND ship it back...

Look at the legs,wheels etc.
Looks like junk to me.
For $100 less I might try it,then seal up the stuff that is needed to be air tight....
Just the grease drain LOOKS to make temp. control impossible-in cold or wind.
I assume the bucket at the end is the drain for grease-That is why there is no smoke stack?

There is a reason most of the high end pellet smokers are upright AND air tight.

Can't see the inside.
Baffle to spread the heat?
Cold rear and too hot front?

I paid for my MANY Smokers over the years IN A LEARNING curve,
I see that smoker as taking POSSIBLY as much work to use as MY airtight stick burners.

I'd pass.
$300. is too much of a gamble to me.

PS. Woot does have some fairly cool stuff at times.
BUT I go by,if they only have a few of whatever,IT MIGHT be worth checking out.
Lots of toys there if you have $ to possibly waste.
