Howdy from Wyoming

I live in far northern Wyoming backing up to the Pryor Mountains and the Bighorn Mountains.  High desert, lots of days over 100 in the summer, almost no snow averaging only 10' of moisture per year, frozen or otherwise.

I grow about 2000 plants, 150+ varieties from over 80 countries.   Sell to 6 farmers markets, several grocery stores and many restaurants in Wyoming and Montana.  Have a "grow partner" in Montana ( we are both very near the Wyo/Mont border) who grows 1000+ tomato plants and she does all the marketing.

I specialize in Indian chilies, growing about 30 kinds and Asian chilies, about 25 varieties.
My other passion is collecting cayenne's.

We have sold all our livestock and semi-retired, still live on the ranch.  We travel all winter as, had I not become a veterinarian, I would have been an archaeologist.   And of course, I stalk every produce market in every city on every continent we visit!
I am "eating a chili path" around the world!  Glad to be here and am thrilled to see so much passion at work.  Viva las chiles!

:welcome:  to the THP forums from South Carolina!! I'd sure love to be able to grow like you describe... hard work I'm sure, but soul satisfying along with the reaping of delicious fruits in the end is certainly worth it!  Really enjoyed browsing your website, thanks for sharing!  :P
