How far away should my two t8 light fixture be from my plants? I have 12 pepper plants in solo cups under it, how far away from the tops of the plants is optimum for my cheap setup?

My fixture is two 6500k daylight flouresent bulbs btw

I use the same lights, I keep mine 2 to 3 inches from the tops of the plants.

Yes ...I just ride mine a few inches off the plants.

+1 to a few inches.. I had my seedlings grrow up into the reflector around the bulbs for a while there .. I uses 4x 6500k T8's per row and had a 16 / 8 light/dark rotation
