Looks like my Carolina Reapers will have Tails!

I grew two reapers last year, one plant the pods had tails and the other didn't. Seeds were from puckerbutt.

Possible... yet unlikely.  I dont' see many positives.
So you are growing reapers, but wont eat one?  Why grow them?

I admit I wont eat full peppers, but I will and have eaten 1/4 of a reaper.

I grow squash, too. But you won't see me cramming one of those in my mouth all at once.  ;)
but you DO eat it im sure.

I guess I wont grow something I wont eat.  I grow 4 kinds of tomato's, but not a single slicing tomato, much to my family's frustration, because I dont like tomato on a burger or sandwich.

I'm pretty sure Tardis was implying that he isn't going to chomp an entire reaper on camera. Cooking with them is a different story. They taste great!

I grow a lot of peppers I wouldn't just eat straight up. Not overly fond of gastrointestinal distress. I do like them as powders or in sauces though.

I dont think I will ever eat a reaper whole.  Ive eaten 1/4 of one and I had a solid 15 minutes of hard burn followed by at least 15-20 minutes of residual after I hit the milk.

Im not suggesting eating a whole one.

I guess I took from the post that he wasnt thinking of even trying one, even just a small piece.

I sent some reapers to a buddy who wanted to make some salsa with one.  I said "you need to eat a small piece 1/8 or so of the pepper to know the flavor and heat".  He ate 1/4 of the pepper along with 3 of my other buddies(they each at 1/4).  I got a frantic call after they were torched for 20 minutes "when does the burning stop" and I couldnt stop laughing.  They had no dairy of any kind and obviously didnt follow my directions.

I will try a small piece of one yes for sure.

I eat whole raw superhots, they're not bad as long as you have a stomach full of starches and grease.  Reapers are delish

Has anyone actualy got a stable Carolina Reaper... Seriously.. It would have to be the most notoriously unstable pepper cross of all time.. .
I have had a couple of stable, correct pheno Reaper plants.  Actually I never had one that grew off pheno...which is amazing considering my original source.
