Ever notice when someone has awesome food, like seriously amazing stuff you salivate over, and they try to get all different and unique in a TD and you wish they would have just posted their normal killer food? LOLzzzz or is it just me? That's happened to me a few times where I'm just like... "dude!" (or dudette). "No!" KISS. :)

This message has been brought to you by the letter D for Drunk.

What have you noticed?

The rest are like meeeeeeeeee!

It was too easy.

But I agree. If you perfectly execute say a regular pizza (mozz, sauce) that is cool and could garner votes. But if you come up with some alternate concoction of toppings that the mob likes...you will prob get more votes everytime.

Wow, I feel the opposite ...

I hold that against entries ...

I want to see an overabundance of passion, plated and presented ...

I need a strong sense of visual fantasy about it ...

The drips and yolk runs, or the glistening rainbows in the fat lilies in the jus ...

A close-up, cropped dramatically, for emphasis ...

Then it doesn't matter if you cook something wacky, you can just cook as you do ...

Hard to get into the finesse presentation mode without breaking from the usual ...
As we know, I like a little instability, and some tension for good measure ...

Not what I mean really...

Creativity is obviously a huge part of it but sometimes I think people overlook execution and how good their "normal" recipes look in pictures. And YES you can tell in pics, just look at some of the "top posters'" pizza pies, or TGCM's New Mexican food, or Booms'a beef ribs/burgers. Just to name a few of course, but killer grub is killer grub, and plays will in TDs too. So jus sayin. ;)

Okay what I am really saying is, don't be afraid to be simple if you are confident in your recipe. But take those killer pics.

Of course. That really adds to my point though. I'd vote for how well Booma cooks a beef rib and his excellent photography shows it off. Come TD time he may be hesitant to post something so simple. See what I am getting at?

Don't get me wrong I love innovation but sometimes a classic or simplicity hits home. BOTH have to be executed well and if it's a toss up come voting, even better.

Who made the pvc mac n cheese dog after all? Lol

 Besides being drizunk, you're up to something with this thread. I haven't figured it out yet but I'm sure there is an ulterior motive.  :eh:
