The Count's Drunken Adventures In The Kitchen

I know we already have the drunken chef thread, but I'm going to start this anyway.  Almost anytime I snap a picture in the kitchen whisky is involved.  Don't let the beers with the plated pics fool you, I just crack one open to drink while eating since hot straight bourbon doesn't taste good with food to me.  The rest of the night is all WHISKY!!!  t didn't even know I had taken most of the pics I'm going to upload initially.  They date back to October 2015 or so and I just found them while uploading pics from the camera of a recent off-roading trip.

So lets start with Drunken Chicken Lo Mein…...

Next up is BBQ chicken, oven roasted potatoes and Ranch Style canned beans.

Tostados?  I seriously do not remember making or eating these!

Nice sandwich! And fries as well.
The broiler is sometimes tricky to control and if your not watching closely you get fire alarms going off.
Quick!
Try tenting the sandwich with foil and baking to get the cheese started melting and then full force onslaught of the broiler to finish.

I love Papadeauxs! I've been to the San Antonio off the 410 many times and the Cincinnati location a few.
Large fried crawfish basket when in season.
For desert I'd recommend more crawfish :)
I was making a drink while it sat under the broiler, apparently that drink took too long to make . I will try that technique next time I make them. As for the leftovers for lunch, I have another idea for them

Leftovers!

Growing up in an all German family, we ate our share of Schnitzel growing up. My mom, brother and I would eat pork cutlet while my Granny and Grandpa would eat calf liver. My Granny did all the cooking until I was 11 or 12. I still love this with something simple like cabbage soup and some squash/cucumber mix.

The bun didnt hold up well under the broiler to melt the cheese, and was way too crunchy.

It was too tall! You have to lay it as flat as possible so the bread is not near the broiler. If that is not possible brush olive oil on the bread. It will not burn like that. :)

Son of a b***h this was hot! So worth it though. The skirt steak was marinated all day in veg. Oil, lime juice, Jose Cuervo Silver and cummin. This may be my new fav fajita marinade.

That horseradish garlic paste is dope! I wonder how it would taste with a little breading, like a baked clam? I'm just staring at it drooling but looks like breading so came to mind. :)

Im sure that would be great. I saw a lot of recipes for horseradish pasted ribeyes with a breadcrumb added. I love horseradish and this is strong with it. My wife wont eat it because its so close to rare( its way more red Han the pic looks) and its so heavy on the horseradish. I may try some bread crumbs or Saltine crumbs next time

Am I allowed to post my semi late night shenanigans that arent cooking related in my own drunken thread? I hope so, cause this one is due to my 4yo asking to play records tonight, well after I ate and was nicely sauced. I broke out my late 70s Califone and opened up my cedar chest of records.

Horseradish garlic paste.

Panko bread crumbs.

Shoplift the Panko from the store if you have to.

But get it and do a SirMixAlot with the HGP.

And slap that on top of clams casino and bake.

Take and eat.

Let there be rock!
