I used to make Falafels years and and ate lots when I used to live in Toronto, so back to it and relearn to make them lol.
Falafels are basically Chickpeas that are flavored and deep fried. (Hint Precooked chickpeas will fall apart, they need to be raw).
In this version I did a 50/50 red beans and Chick Peas Adde some seasoning mix and chili powder and cumin seeds, salt to taste.
The first batch was too much liquid (50/50), but fried well in the pan. The second patch was 1 cup powder to 3/4cup water and let sit for the day, dont know what the best time to soak is I just mixed in in the morning and had it for supper. The second batch I fried on the griddle and dipped in salsa. The first one I used spiced Avocado and Salsa.
Hope this inspires some creativity in making some of the dishes
