cobalt blue tarantula, very pretty one too

Do you keep tarantulas or just admire them? When I worked at a pet store they always fascinated me but i'm not a big spider person. More of a reptile amphibian sort.

I have a cobalt blue, pink zebra beauty and Mexican red-kneed.

I wouldn't recommend a cobalt blue for a beginner.

They're quite aggressive and prefer to be left alone.

PM me your address.

when I was really young (3-6) I lived in a trailer court in the middle of the desert. We used to catch scorpions and centipedes and put them in jars together and watch them fight. The centipede always won. Amazing I never got nailed by anything. Even the rattlers. had a pet baby sidewinder for a few days. I handled it thinking that only the adults had venom. Even tried to nail me a few times.... I was so dumb.

It's amazing how quick centipedes are.
They go straight for the tail, essentially putting the scorpion out of the fight.

Started raising various creepy crawlies after my last bid in the joint 10 years ago.

It's actually played a big part in why I've stayed out of trouble so long.

Check out http://arachnoboards.com great forum for bug geeks.

If you don't do it already I highly recommend getting yourself dubai roaches and having your own colony. They breed incredibly fast and are an endless supply of meaty food. They make almost no smell and will eat leftovers. They can't climb so they are no danger to escape. Crickets stink and having to buy them from mystery suppliers with dangers of disease sucks.
