Yeah, freaky MoFo's. They're extremely hard to find in the wild, they're very shy so even if they are in the area, they won't show themselves. 
 
A place where I go camping/Trout fishing is littered with them. One year at dusk, I Kayaked upstream and then drifted back down. It was only then I would catch them breaking the surface of the water for air. It was an awesome experience.
