"Scotch Bonnet" is now Baccatum?

Hi there Pepperheads :) Might just be me being green, but I am not entirely sure what to make of this... Amongst my plants I have this one... seeds were labeled as "Scotch Bonnet Red", but now that it is flowering I am faced with these six-petal spotty flowers that to me resemble more a Baccatum, am I right in my suspicion that they were incorrectly labeled? If so, any ideas as to what this might turn out to be?

Thanks a lot, really appreciate your help!!

Thanks Joyners for the quick reply! That is precisely what I think, but any ideas as to what it may be? I know its a long shot but thought I'd ask as it will be a while before I can see what the flowers turn into...

Sorry to hear this .. there is nothing worse than buying seed and something else appears please tell me you didn't buy off eBay. Hey you might be pleasantly surprised but it is not a Scotch Bonnet. Little late now to sow C.Chinense but if you want some true SB seed send me a PM for next season

Not to be ungrateful, but I believe these seeds were given to me by a friend who handed me a few samples so we'll have to blame it on bad labeling on his side  Trident, thanks for the offer!! I won't sow any more plants this year but I'll take your word so count on me dropping a line ;) You guys are so helpful here, thanks a lot!! I'll keep you posted when I have some pods to let you know what it was I was given

So... a few weeks have come and gone and this plant is producing its first few pods, as promised I am uploading a few pictures to see if anyone wants to try and guess what this plant will turn out to be! So far all I've established is it's a Baccatum, but I'm sure you guys can enlighten me!

Could be bishops crown which is a baccatum and barely a similar name...

Also kind of looks similar to Champion wish is also a baccatum. Still early to tell though I suppose.

True, I must admit I hadn't even thought of Champion, but now that you mention it and that I've been looking at some pictures these resemble very much what I have here... Time will tell!

So, seasons have come and gone and I still don't know what to make of this plant! It's produced quite a few peppers but one thing I do know is it's not a very stable variety, they seem to come in all size and shape... I've taken pictures of the two "most present" shapes...maybe someone wants to try and guess?? Probably be tasting one later on so I'll let you guys know how powerful (if at all) they are!

I would say D3 is right. It's probably either an Aji Champion or Bishop's Crown. But Bishop's have wings on them. However, my Bishop's Crown plant has several different phenos, too. Some with wings, some without. One even has spikes. So it could be either.

Any chance you got these seeds from Pepper Joe?

My "red scotch bonnet" just flowered and is clearly a baccatum. I'm not sure if they are bishop's crown or Brazilian starfish.

Austin, these were given to me by a friend so I wouldn't know, but I've seen your post and at least the flowers look exactly the very same as the ones on this plant. Having said that, many baccatum would have similar flowers so I guess we'll never know for sure...
