Cayenne?

Ok, I got these from a local nursery because my only cayenne peppers died. I have never seen a cayenne get this big or stay green this long! Is this a cayenne?

I have three plants and the all have a half dozen peppers at least. Most are over 5" long. The longest is about 8" long maybe.

I grew something that looked just like that a couple years back. It is a juicer thick skinned variety with a pretty good over all flavor either fresh or dried. It also seemed to be a milder one where heat was concerned.

I'm just getting impatient for them to start ripening to red! These things are blowing up in size daily. I had one or two turn bad and begin to rot on me. Ultimately that's what made me question what they were. They didn't turn red like every other cayenne I've ever seen. I'm wondering if I left them out too long? I'll pick one and see how it tastes

Cayenne, skinnier, shorter, smaller leaves.

That looks about like what I'm dealing with for sure. Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into it!

Look like the Bonnie "Golden Cayenne" I got from a Big Box a few years ago.

I'm not sure what they really were (Perhaps their "Hot Salsa" pepper?), but they were quite hot and very prolific.  To this day, I'm still working on the gobs of powder I made.
