Best pot size for filius blue

I have 9 filius blue plants, that I want to grow in planters on my deck this year. I was just curious what size of pot I should be putting each of them in. If I can't get cheap enough pots, I was going to just use 2 gallon pots. I don't want to stunt their growth at all

You can get 5-6 gallon bags from Home Depot and Wall Mart for pennies. Literally.

Grow them in at least 3 gallon.

I grow peppers in smaller all the time. Keeping them alive and giving them enough space for production are separate discussions..

Agree ^.
It all depends what you goals are.
I can pick up a .50 1 gal growers pot and grow a happy pepper plant all summer long in it. Just have to make sure to keep it fed and watered. And watered means every day, sometimes twice.

I can probably handle the 5 gallon pots. I have a grow space setup in the basement that I will be overwintering a few plants next year. If they do well I will add them to the list of plants to bring in. Putting them in the 5 gallon pots I won't have to uproot them either. I wasn't sure if the filius blue would take up all the root space in a 5 gallon pot. Our grow season is really short up here but I am trying to make the most of it. Thanks for the advice everyone.

I have  2 plants ,each  in  a 4 inch pot  & they are both  in flower @8 inches, its a rather compact ornamental  which can grow as high as 20-45 cm (8-18") tall with a spread of 15-25 cm (6-10”) wide. I plan on putting mine in 1 gallon pots  towards the end of the week & watch them grow,& that I feel is plenty  room.
Very  nice plant with dark green foliage with purple highlights. & purple- blue tasty  pods.
