I am used to misjudging C. Chinense seasoning varieties and have been burnt in the past. Got a nice variety called Tobago Sweet Scotch Bonnet that appears true. Took a 1/2 of the pod and bit into it...great flavor, no to little burn. They'll make a nice powder mixed.
Also, the plant is extremely productive which is good too!
