Reaper sauce?

So.. I got these reapers that I do not know what to do with. Powder will be too hot for me to use on anything I suspect, so I was thinking sauce maybe?

Are there any viable Reaper recipes that doesn't turn out to be excruciatingly hot?
I know I have to mix the Reaper(s) with some other peppers but even Habaneros will be too hot I think(I'm not really growing anything with less heat). I can get my hands on plenty of peppers of a variety called Dutch Peppers which are very mild(less than 10k SHU), could that be something to mix with?
Might be able to get Jalapeños as well...

So what've you got for me in terms of Reaper recipes / suggestions? :)

You can do it but you will need vinegar, onion, garlic, maybe some carrots, 3-4 Reapers, and plenty of cane sugar. Maybe some not-so-hot peppers for filler. It will be blazing hot. There are hundreds of Scorpion and Reaper sauces marketed commercially.

Sirex has the word. Freeze and use when you are able. Limit the # of Super Hots in the sauce. Good advice.

With powder you are able to introduce into recipes 1/8 tsp at a time. Tacos, chili, salsa, etc.

As far as your question about recipes there are hundreds just substitute Carolina Reaper and Dutch for your pepper. Just page thru the "Hot Sauce Making" Forum for ideas.

Good luck.

The beauty of a powder, any powder, is that you can add it to any sauce you want to make.
Start with the normal sauce of garlic , unions, herbs , fruit etc. .Then you can add Reaper or any other powder, half a teaspoon ,or even less , at a time , until you are satisfied .
I even make one batch of sauce , then add a bit of scorpion powder, bottle a third of the sauce , then add more powder , bottle some more, and then add more powder for a third batch.
Just cook it through before you taste , because the powder needs to hydrate and work through the sauce first.

Thanks all, some very good ideas here.
I particularly like the idea of adding reaper powder to other sauces to spice them up.

Perhaps making one batch of reaper sauce to test it out and also try making some Hab sauce with Reaper powder. I'll need to think about this now :D
