That was on purpose. Everything I read (and saw) online said to start in the middle of the room and work towards the walls, so your tiles end up evenly sized at the end. No thanks, haha. I'm selling the house, so I'm starting off with 2 full rows (on 2 perpendicular walls), and the cut tiles will be buried under the cabinets

Thanks, dude. Can't wait to get rid of it! I'm sick of being a landlord! Bathroom is next, then refinishing the hardwood floors, then painting the whole inside of the house. Then, cleaning up the yard :mope:

I should plant some superhots in the garden beds out front ;)


Sheeeeyit. If I'd have put all this work into this house a few years ago when I lived there, I might've stayed in it, hahaha

I think that is just basic old skool DIY advice. Next level shite is setting up the tiles off of openings or focal point features in a room. Done right it turns out really sharp.

Yeah, I hear ya, man. Tile ain't my thang though, haha. This is the biggest "tile job" I've ever done. I'm originally a framer, before I got into Ironworking. I've done some pretty intricate decks before. I remember I did a deck for this guy, back in like '04 or '05 that was ridiculous. It was like 4 levels, and probably close to 1500 sq ft. Had a diamond pattern on each tier. Started with a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square of "Brazilian Ipe" (expensive as f**k) hardwood decking, right in the center and went out from there. Stainless cable railings, etc. f**kin deck probably cost that dude like $30K, lol

That dude was freakin' loaded. Had a little prop plane and a f**kin' hangar in his backyard. He used to fly to breakfast to Block Island like 3-4x a week. Dude was definitey "pinkies up," hahaha

Typical Connecticut snob ;)
