I've gotta go for a little bit. I'm supposed to be helping decorate the Christmas tree, and I'm getting bitched at for THPing, lol

Getting yelled at as I type this

Big Props to THP, I might start drinking beer again!!

I haven't drank beer in years unless it's a few Coronas here and there, so when ya'll post about India Pale Ale I'm lost and really didn't give a shit to research but it all changed tonight.

This actually happened from the "Secret Satan" swap, I wanted to send a beer from here as a bonus.  I went to the best liquor store I buy wine supplies from and asked the young guy stocking the cooler what's the best craft beer from around here. I thought he would say something from Baton Rouge or New Orleans but he pointed me to a pallet of beer made 4 miles from me and said "this is the best beer in the store".

Secret Satan was naughty because it didn't fit so I'm doing a taste test. And it's actually good, so different but good. I thought I was drinking juniper berries.

The bad news is it went down too fast, I don't have anything to compare it too and it's got that addictive taste that makes you want more. Here's the description from the website.

Welcome to the future. Our collective human consciousness, or Ghost in the Machine, has gained a tolerance for hops beyond what mankind has ever known before. This double India Pale Ale is the necessary outcome. Brewed with obscene quantities of hand-selected Citra hops from our favorite farm in Yakima Valley, WA.

Nice one. Those guys make some highly sought after beers.

I had some running around to do and I planned on hitting Parish Brewery to taste a few and bring some home. They open up at 11 so I planned on being there early to beat the crowd, 15 minutes early isn't enough. They're located in an industrial park so I turned down the road and started looking for the address and this is what I saw. All of this traffic is for the brewery. The brewery is next to the white tank at the arrow.

I finally make it to the front and just said Hell No, not today. The line goes on longer past the tank.

There's 2 separate lines, one on the right for the free tour and the other to drink.

I stopped by the local Albertsons and they carried most of their beer so I bought a :make yourself a 6-pak" to sample today.

First up, very smooth!!
