When to tell how Gator Jigsaw is ripe ?

Hello my chili head friends , my first year growing the jigsaw gator . i'm just wondering whats my tip on when their ripe ?

Go by feel if it ripens the same color it starts out as. The pods will soften up a bit when they are ripening.

their getting that dark green color that most do before turning . but have been like this for a few weeks now

Yes, turning darker is a good sign!

I got my first experience with the Jigsaw Gator pepper this year when I ordered some from Wicked Mike. Gotta say I REALLY like the taste and heat of this pepper. The ones I received had the green color with the yellowing as described above and that would be my gauge for determining when they were ready
