breeding Cross Projects

I have my Brown Large Scorpion cross going in the second season.
History:
I had purchased King Naga seeds (from a reputable seller, but not going to mention who) that grew Yellow pods, which someone remarked looked somewhat like elongated Yellow 7-Pots.
Now, having purchased dozens of varieties of seeds from this seller for a couple years, I never had any other not grow true, so I am sure it was an unintentional cross, and not a mix-up, since the seller also sold Yellow 7-Pot seeds, but they looked nothing like the pods I grew.
I also had purchased Large Scorpion seeds from this seller. Of three plants, two made red pods, which is nomal, but one made brown pods.
I had the brown pod plant growing in a BigBagBed Mini fabric pouch right next to (within twelve inches) one of the King Naga/Yellow 7-Pot plants. With branches intertwining, I was reasonaly sure of cross-pollination.
I saved seeds from one of the Yellow pods, and grew three plants last season. Two plants grew (more-or-less normal shaped) Yellow 7-Pot pods, but one made brown pods, larger and smoother than the original Brown Large Scorpion, but still having the basic Large Scorpion shape.
I saved seeds from three pods from the brown pod plant plant, and are growing six plants (two from each pod) this season. Two are in my raised bed, two in a 10 gallon root pouch (yes, together) and two in a 19 inch clay pot (again, together).
I am finding pods like the parent (smooth) on the ones in the grow bag. They are the only ones that have ripened, and are brown.

Some a little 'rougher': Some a little 'smoother:
From the clay pot plants; more rough skinned, like the original red Large Scorpion, no color yet.
And, the raised bed plants, which are nearing four feet tall, have mostly rough-skinned pods. But, on one of the plants, there are several pods which are much lighter green and have a more Naga-like pod shape. So, I may have another variation to deal with. No color on these yet, either.
