Hello from NJ

Hey all! Decided this year since I LOVE making chili that I would grow my own peppers so I can really feel good about my chili and that I grew my own hot peppers. I tried last year to grow done jalapenos, but due to selling my house and moving in with in-laws temporarily, they didn't make it. So this year armed with a new house and beautiful yard, I'm gonna try again. This time jalapenos and thai peppers. I have stumbled a little (will be posting that issue in another section- keeping this just to the into). Hopeful I can turn things around and really have a plentiful thai plant. Look forward to all the helpful tips and tricks you guys can offer.

Adam

:welcome:  to the THP forums!

Awesome Thai plant you have! Your's makes mine look like a chump!    Mine is much smaller (only in a 2 gal. pot), but it too is really starting to pump out the new blooms and fruit. Nice to have you aboard; hope you get some great harvests this year!

Just some pictures I snapped before work this morning.
Overall of 2 of the 3 thai peppers

These are the jalapeno plants I'm growing, grown from a seed pack from local garden center. Not sure what variety these are, any guesses are welcome. I have 2 in individual pots and 2 together in longer rectangle planter.

Welcome to THP.  I'm a newbie too and people have already been very helpful.

Best of luck with your peppers! I apparently have a black thumb.  Any time I've tried to grow anything it's either died or had a terrible yield.

Last year I tried Ghosts,  habs and Jalapenos.  I think I got 4 habs and half a dozen Jalapenos.

Perhaps after reading some tips in here, I'll give it another shot next year.

Give it a go. I only spend total of like 50$ for everything I did this year.
Got a new house and this year was getting the yard to be usable (house was ridiculously overgrown do too short sale). I've got plans for fall and spring to make a spot to grow my peppers. I'll snap a photo or two to show you guys
