Hot Sauce Cured 18 Month Sore Throat

I know the title sounds like click bait or an exaggeration or an all out lie... but it seems to be true. In case you are still skeptical at the end, remember that I saw no real change in 18 months. And maybe my story can help someone else.

Story time!

In the beginning of 2015 I got a severe case on tonsillitis which lasted for two months and included two rounds of intensive drugs, several hospital visits, endless hours of pain, days of being unable to speak, and one night where I woke up realizing I couldn't breathe. My throat was never the same after that. Weak, sensitive, sore, and my old passion for singing became like a curse. Singing for just a few minutes could leave me regretting it for a solid week. I thought it might get better after a matter of months. Even when it didn't get better, it still didn't seem severe enough for a hospital visit. When fall and winter came again, cold weather made my throat much much worse. Busy with grad school, I didn't want to bother with it. After I graduated in December I decided I should see a doctor eventually.

Then... something strange happened... Out of nowhere I started to crave spicy food. I had never had the slightest interest in spicy food before. I was a mild food person. I couldn't even remember the last time I ate spicy food. And yet here I was... craving it like a drug addict that needed a fix. Nothing in town was spicy enough. A few months later in Spring I was on a trip in New Orleans and stocked up on hot sauce. I loved the sauces but was afraid to eat very much of it because of my throat. I would eat something spicy and feel it in my throat, so after I would think any soreness was due to the sauce. I started seeing a doctor in early Summer. I took medications that made me worse before making me better... for a little while. Then the effects melted away leaving my same sore throat behind. Hot tea didn't help. Cough drops didn't help. I was fed up with dealing with this day after day. No medication was going to fix this. I started thinking about my hot sauce cravings. Was it possible that my body was trying to tell me something? To fix itself? I read about all the health benefits that came with hot peppers. I decided I had nothing to lose and I was going all in.

For weeks I have been downing hot sauce multiple times per day with increasing intensity. I consider it a success if I feel the overwhelming heat in my throat, stomach, face, and tingles all over my body. Gotta love that runners high. After just a few days I knew it was working. And after weeks I'm still so happy. I feel great! My throat actually feels normal. I may not be capable of singing endless Whitney Houston songs or screaming at a metal concert, but life is good. I sing throughout the week and I'm not sore, in pain, or scared. All is well. I guess you could say I'm on fire.

Might want to try out some fresh peppers from some of our vendors or the ads forum too PP. Fresh peppers might isolate the capsaicin without the salt and vinegar common in most sauces.  In any case I'm glad it's working for you!  :)

Well if buying into this idea and it's for the throat maybe the liquid is better.
This strangely reads like a miracle cure website. Is there a link coming soon?

I would have a MD do an inspect and then follow the referral given if needed
There could be more then what your willing to accept, hopefully not
I have working experience with someone that is now well up in "Stages" and it aint pretty.
Realy,Im glad you "feel" better . . . . . . but seriously look into a second opinion"professionally"

Blame it on the peppers ? . . . . . . . .  ;) :shh:

Good to hear the hotsauce is giving you relief PP. Look into Manuka Honey if you want to try something else down the road. I used it to treat inflammation of the esophagus due to heartburn. It was inflamed for 3 weeks and the honey took it away in like 3 or 4 days. Also noticed my gums healthier. It's expensive but it worked for me. Here is brand I used. Buy from a reputable supplier because freshness is extremely important. Don't remember where I bought from. Tip: Eat the honey on bread, I found it helped coat everything better.

I am sure hot peppers have a variety of medical applications overlooked in favor of large pharmaceuticals.  I know there is one coming out that is reportedly better than Viagra.

Hey TNKS. Thanks for the suggestion and support. I have been seeing an ENT specialist doctor and he doesn't think it's serious, but as far as completely curing me goes he is concerned that this has gone on for so long. I'm willing to accept whatever. I really am, but something severe might not be the answer either (although that's what I initially thought too). I've read a bunch of stories online in my quest for the perfect cure. Apparently it's possible to just get a chronic never ending sore throat that just doesn't go away for years but doesn't seem to be linked to a serious condition either. Go figure. I'm just glad that in the meantime while I wait to find out what's going on, I can feel fine.

Have you had cultures done?
Results gram negative or gram positive?
Any med runs offered or taken(11 days) ?

I haven't done cultures but my doctor didn't think it was necessary. I'll bring it up again at my next appointment though. I have done the long med runs. Those have helped a little for a short period of time, but haven't fixed me completely.

My wife is a chartered herbalist. She studied at Bastyr University, and we know full well the impact natural remedies can have. In my opinion, what is helping you is isolated circulation. When you are eating hot sauces, the capsaicin stimulates blood circulation which in turn stimulates healing. She swears by a morning elixir of Apple Cider vinegar, Honey, Lemon Juice and Cayenne powder, (2 oz. total). Among the many benefits of it, blood circulation is at the top. It stimulates better digestion in your stomach by stimulating blood circulation. You might want to try that with a short gargle on the way down.

Doctors... meh. If I have a broken bone, I will gladly use the services of an MD to set the bone and immobilize it. Other than that, I refuse to pay exorbitant prices to be a guinea pig for them and the drug companies.

Here's a story for you, a family of four was having all kinds of weird problems, mostly with digestion. Mother, Father and two children all had similar symptoms. Not really sick but not really "well" either. A year and a half of going to their doctor, countless drugs with just as many side affects and tons of frustration. Nobody knew what the hell was going on. After giving up on the doctor/pharmaceutical route, a single 20 minute interview with a Naturopath, revealed the entire family had an allergy to dairy. No more milk, cheese or cream and instantly life returned to normal. Too bad the "doctors" weren't smart enough or patient enough to ask questions and come up with a less profitable solution.

I am not advocating to not go to your doctor, I am just saying their are alternative routes to take. For me, pharmaceuticals are out, unless it's the last resort.

Good luck!
