Shipping fresh pods during the winter?

Has anyone tried shipping fresh pods during the winter months?  I get the feeling many would get so cold that they would get mushy.

I've shipped fish, dart frogs, plants ect in winter. Just got to use proper insulation and a heat pack. Thus increasing shipping costs

I ship more during the winter than any other time of year. No problems yet. Shipping during the summer, that's another story...

Do you ship to the northern states during the winter?  I just keep thinking a day a mail box and they would freeze solid in states like Michigan.
