favorite Your favorite small (semi-)wild chinense pepper

i wonder what you favorite small wild chinense pepper is.

So far i tried only "cumari do para".  Its a wonderful pepper.

I try new ones every year, so im in search for another variety.

i heared that "wild brazil" and "aji charapita" should be good too.

What is your favorite, which one can you recommend?

I got a few more for you that are fun and small and wild.

CAP 691, a red little fireball
CGN 24360, an orange little fireball
CGN 20800, groups of little red pearls

I am also grown the Duke Pequin this year which is a tiny frutescens.

CAP 691 is a really good one that doesn't have as stong of a flavor as the yellows.

I don't grow yellow chinenses anymore (no love for the flavor) but i was impressed by the punch of Wild Brazil (from AjiJoe), a real fireball candy. It also produces like crazy.
BUT tepins easily beat any small chinense for everyday use and flavor in my book.

I like the "chinense" taste more, but tepin is a very good chili. Do you tried "cappucino" and "yellow tepin"?

No... I firmly believe they're (inferior) hybrids and prefer to stick with landraces. Color/shape seem the only important parameters nowadays sadly...

I have a beautiful Wild Brazil pepper and Wiri Wiri pepper plant.  Unfortunately they did not fully bloom resulting in no peppers this season.  I think it has to do with the fact that they were only able to get 4 hours direct sun daily.  I grow a few Tepin varieties and agree that they are tasty, hot, and my base pepper for making my salsas.  I take it the "yellow tepin" hybrid is something different from my Amarillo Chiltepin which produces a gold colored pepper?

Wow this looks awesome, flesh looks juicy like pubescens. How does flavor compare? Definitely going to grow this next year.

I have been anxious to try the Wild Brazil pepper as well.  I have grown one this season but unfortunately no peppers.  Lots of flowers that did not bloom.  I will say it is a most beautiful plant with or without peppers and I will overwinter it and try again next season.
