pod This was supposed to be a yellow moruga scorpion, what is it actually?

I'd say some sort of Bhut or Naga. Looks like a win in my opinion! Grats!

Looks like either a barrackpore 7 or possibly a Jonah 7, I did say its almost definately a 7 pot of some type.

I had one like that last year. I couldn't find a pic of single pods, but here's a pic of two conjoined pods, the individual ones looked the same.

Probably something cross-pollinated. How many plants of that type did you grow out?

Just this one. It in the same 7galon pot as a Bhut if that makes a difference?

Wouldn't make a difference. Cross-pollination only affects the seeds, not the pepper itself. In other words, they would have been cross-pollinated in the grow of whoever you got the seeds from. 7 Pot, Scorpion, Bhut, Naga...there's no telling what's mixed in there.
 
The good news: while it may not be what you were expecting, they're some nice looking pods!
