Hello

Joining this forum to share and access knowledge. I've been growing peppers for 25+ years now, super hots for the past 8 or so. The groundhogs eat everything I tried to grow except peppers, so now that's all I grow :)

I also homebrew beer and like making large quantities of hot sauce - http://imgur.com/a/tIGrU - it helps to have brewing equipment.

Last year, I made some chili oil - http://imgur.com/a/fcONE - which turned out wonderful.

Mostly I use annum varieties for hot sauces since I give them away as christmas presents. I've cultivated my own annum variety by saving seeds over the years. The annums I save I believe have crossed with a frutescens (probably tabasco) because they fall away from the calyx easily when ripe, and are squishy, sweet and juicy.

This year I grew 120 plants, 30 of my annum variety, and 90 super hots, mostly in pots spread around my 1/2 acre yard to prevent crossing. So far as heat goes this year, the MA WartyX I grew beats the Carolina Reapers.

Thanks for having me!

Thanks for sharing the links. I agree, those are some nice looking Wartyx pods. Great pictorials with the sauce and oils too!
