Puerto Rican Yellow pod test

Pod review of the Puerto Rican Yellow hab. This was an awesome tasting pepper. It surprised me with how fruity it was. There was no Chinenese or hab type aroma or flavor or all. The heat was a good habanero level. It went straight for the back of throat and Eustacian tubes immediately, which was odd. The pod itself is very pretty with nice colors. It was grown and sent to me by Michael Christensen.

Great review Peter! Very interesting pepper, I'm a big fan of chinense that don't taste like chinense. I may have to add it to next years grow.

THX for sharing
Thanks! Yeah, I think it's one of the best tasting peppers I've had this year.

Peter how does it compare in taste and heat with a MOA Scotch Bonnet ?
Comparing with the MOA I grew, both were fruity. The Puerto Rican Yellow was a little more so I thought, and I think the flavor was better. It might be a little hotter than the MOA, this one was only 4 gram, and my mega MOA was close to 20 and heat between both tests was similar level. The burn profile was a lot different. The MOA heat was more of a general mouth burn. The Puerto Rican Yellow went for my throat and Eustacian tubes right away. Also, got a little bit of bitterness from my MOA after eating the placenta part, but didn't get any bitterness at all from the Puerto Rican Yellow.

I can't find any info about this pepper. I'm very interested in growing these next season.
There really isn't any info about it, except on the semillas site, that I can find. If you go here, then scroll down most of the way, you'll see it listed.

I suspect that these aren't pure chinense. Maybe crossed with frutescens? What do you think, Peter S?  Another nice review, BTW
Thanks, yeah I don't know. I really didn't pick up any chinense aroma or flavor at all.
