seed-train TRUMP TRAIN SEED TRAIN

I think there is one more stop after you. Make sure we are not shipping air by deflating all baggies, stuff it good and send it on. Those SFRBS can hold a lot. It will be OK.
Yeah, I had to really squeeze the air out of each large ziplock bag and fold them tightly to get them all in. The previous sender just bought a bigger  (non-priority bubble envelop) and sent it priority. But I'm really cheap so I thought I'd see if I could squeeze them all in. and it worked. lol.

Yes, it is very important when going through the seed packets and baggies that all air is purged before stowing. You will know you got it right if the seed pack feels more like a football than a package of seeds.

Ye my stop is that transitional stage.  One size is too small, next is too large.  Went with MFRB and have extra room.  Next rider about to send address.  If anyone down the line wants to risk food poisoning with my home made jams or some of the home made pepper jams, let me know before I ship and I will throw them in.  Probably ship in AM if I get the address before then.

Thanks to everyone who rode before me.  I got a great start on an Aji grow out of it.  Had a great time with the kids trying to add more than we took and improve variety.  Could have done it more organized, but wanted to have fun with the kids.  So had them figure out what was not already shared that we had to share.  It was so fun watching them try to address the logic problem.  They made list after list, then went back and crossed things off two or three times, then tried again.  Sure there were some duplicates.

Sorry AJ, but I have to interject here.
9). No rigid containers containing powders, sauces or seed. The only containers allowed on the train are plastic bags.

Sauces on past trains have made a mess of things.

Party pooper, but I do understand seed do not go well with sauce.  Wife took to post.  Will have tracking when she gets back.

Yeah, I know. I would like nothing more than to accommodate but the essence of the seed train is to bring a diverse seed selection to the participants at a very reasonable cost. Nonsealed containers of sauce present a whole slew of issues and in a worst case scenario, destroy the train.

Let me remind everyone. Not following the rules posted at the beginning of this thread is grounds for being banned. If there is any question, I advise going there and rereading them. A tracking number is MANDATORY and must be posted immediately. I will not issue any more warnings pertaining to it.

Sent tracking to next person on train.
Here it is for your records  9505511769667028075610
Ran it.  It is there today.

I think you might want to go back and change the first post, which currently does not contain the word "immediately" so there is not future confusion.  Currently it reads:

"7)  Once the pack has left your possession, post here with the tracking number."

I didnt think being away on Sunday was a big deal.  I apologize again.

Has anyone ever tried a perpetual train?  Maybe when it goes around, the conductor takes out duplicates and enough to make a second one if the first one gets lost or mangled.

We NEED to keep it to 3 days everyone. It was supposed to go out yesterday. 24 hours later and no tracking number of even a shipping confirmation.

Already have successful germination after 13 days. Thanks for starting and running the train. Thanks other riders for the excellent choices.

There used to be a time when I would try to acquire every variety I could from the seed train. I was new and wanted to try everything I could. It comes in really handy with forum discussions when you know first hand what is being discussed or IDing a pepper for someone.

Much has changed in the past 3 years. I know pretty much what I like and am targeting specific profiles of taste and heat. That being said, it should come to no surprise that I have only a small hand full of selections from this train. And maybe less after some questions are answered.

I was surprised to see xalapa seeds in here. I think Steve grew them. Did they live up to your expectations or my hype?
