Morphine Ahead Game

A few folk will get the morphine joke.  This past spring, made the decision to ignore doctors and go ahead with the grow.  One of my doctors fired me over it.  Wanted me in a wheel chair.  Couldnt do that.  Doctors dont seem to get needing to feed a family, pay the mortgage, and so on.

Weather report says we will fly right by first frost and enter first freeze this weekend.  Wife is calling the surgeon on Monday, telling him I am ready, no more heroic efforts to save bits n pieces that should probably be removed.  In the long run it is a very good thing.  No more being sick all the time from medicine or stoned all the time to manage the pain in my bones.  But it is still kind of scary, so lets make a game of it.

Not sure when it will happen, but likely will be hospitalized in the next month or so.  Bringing lap top.  Not going to say when I am in the hospital, just gonna keep posting.  If you want to play the game, you just post 'Morphine' to one of my posts when you think they have started the drip.

Ye ye, people gonna think this is just wrong but if you dont have a sense of humor you do not get threw stuff like this.

norcos for me !

For what ever reason, the hospital likes IV stuff after surgery.  I think it is because they can regulate it better.  But ye, at home it is norco.  Probably switching to something else soon cause it isnt doing much anymore.  In theory, once surgery is done and have recovered, wont need much.  Might be able to get away with something simple like lyrica.  Hoping.

Too early for morphine I think.
Try this for now :high:

Naw, I pee in a cup once a month.  Part of the rules for pain clinic.  Hoping to be done with all of it after this hopefully last surgery.  But ye, someone I met at fair lost his left just below the knee.  He says for long term pain management THC is easier to cope with than opiates.

Frankly, when I learned of the long term side effects of opiates I got scared to death.  Do you know why they advertise cathoders on TV so much?  Its cause long term use of pain pills makes it so you cant pee on your own.  Read that, you gotta stick a hose up your penis twice a day.  Uh, no.

No matter what the med regiment outcome will be, I wish the best for ya. We have talked before about the struggles we've battled, overcome and still deal with. In the end it makes us stronger. Good luck.

not what sure their giving me at the hospital , definitely nerve blockers and who knows ,  from what i'm hearing the norcos don't even touch the pain !

Good luck. I would recommend starting stool softeners well before surgery. The opiates blocked me up so bad when I had my shoulder repaired. I didn't take a decent crap for a week and that's a miserable feeling.

Was on something much stronger.  Starts with either a P or a D.  Drove lawn mower into a tree.  In theory, one more operation and I wont need much. Fingers crossed.  Its funny cause lots of friends on facebook keep telling me it is no laughing matter.  I dont think they have been threw much cause without laughing and making fun, a person would go insane.

Have friend in MI who had a fairly serious stroke.  Then, in a wheel chair, she was beat down fairly badly.  Today, she is one of the strongest people I have ever met.

Ye ye, get back to building that wall. Its the "I love you man" that you gotta look out for.  Its the weirdest damn thing, I get all emotional and junk.  Makes most people just go nap.

It was dilaudid (shot not drip) and perkaset.  Sorry, couldnt be all silly with you guys because oh damn that stuff put me under.  The dilaudid injections were like 1, 2, 3, nap.  I am getting a wheel chair tomorrow.  They want me in it for three months, so figure next season is going to frigging rock.  Family setting up wheel chair height folding tables where I am going to start planting in the next day or so.  Very optimistic.
