Freeze advisory help!

I have a cold front coming in with a freeze watch anyone have suggestions or ideas what I can do to keep my container peppers through it. Or link me to an existing thread I don't want to double post. It's a mild winter here I'm considering bringing them indoors but I don't know if I'll have enough lightin

Let's see everyone's winter setup!

Ocean Springs can't be much different than where I'm at in Baldwin County. Come January, you'll need to be bring them in many nights or build them some sort of winter enclosure and give them some heat with a light. I just put mine in a little hillbilly greenhouse off the south side of my pumphouse. I kept habaƱero plants going for years until I goofed up on the wrong night and forgot to turn on the light.

We have got down to about 40 and I left my guys out at night with no prob, however, we do expect temps freezing but from my exp. if they are contained and you are not expecting days of freezing, keeping them out of north winds and bringing them in at night works just fine. If it stays sub 32f during the day I would keep them south window'd; if it stays that low consider making a pvc greenhouse for the cold months. I have not had much problems with winter killing plants, but hey, I am a spoiled Texas guy.

Interesting you're starting plants for next year already. I am too although mine are just now in first leaves stage.[/quotes

i just dumped out what I had left in my fatali and chocolate Hab seed packets to see how they would do. Coming from south Florida I'm not used to the frost so It didn't even cross my mind.

Mine are somewhat accidental babies too. I had awful luck with germination in peat pellets last year so I did a germ test of some yellow naga brain strain in a wet paper towel inside a plastic sleeve. 5 of 6 sprouted so I planted them. The best 3 will be indoor pets inside my growing chamber for the winter. I just started germinating some 7 pot Douglah so I'll grow 3 of those too.
